The large expanse of Charlotte Harbor forces I-75 inland as it passes through our counties.  This has helped leave our area much less developed than Tampa and Sarasota (to our north) and Ft. Myers and Naples (to our south).  If you are looking for Florida's natural beauty and communities with an "old Florida" feel, come and see us!

Tampa is approximately a 2 hour drive to the north, while Naples is about the same travel time away to the south.  Both Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando can be reached in 3 and 1/2 hours or less, and Miami in under 4 hours.
