Various Windward homesites offer views of the Cape Haze Links golf course, green belts, Coral Creek, and the Amberjack Cove canal.  A mandatory homeowners association helps ensure the ongoing vitality of the neighborhood.

Amberjack Cove and Coral Creek provide access to the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) with a single bridge.  Coral Creek is considered navigable by shallow draft boats, but knowledge of the waterway is needed.  The water is shallow at many points and boat owners interested in purchasing in Windward will want to fully understand the water depth restrictions both at their dockage point and along the waterway. 

Kayakers find Coral Creek a beautiful area for kayaking and it is part of Charlotte County's designated "Blue Ways" kayak trails.
