The deed-restricted community of Rotonda (also known as
Rotonda West), is located on
the Cape Haze peninsula in Charlotte County. As the
name implies, parts of Rotonda were developed in a "round" design.
There are seven distinct areas within the Rotonda circle:
Oakland Hills, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Broadmoor, Long
Meadow, White Marsh and Pine Valley. The eighth wedge of the
"pie" is an environmental preserve. Outside the circle, additional
communities are part of the larger Rotonda area:
Rotonda Heights, Rotonda Lakes, Rotonda Shores, Rotonda Sands,
Rotonda Springs, and Rotonda
Villas & Meadows.
Many of the homes, townhouses and condominiums in Rotonda
open onto the network of fresh water canals within the
community or onto one of the community golf courses.
Rotonda West is home to five different golf courses: Rotonda
Hills, Rotonda Palms, Long Marsh, Pinemoor and the Links at Cape Haze.
A typical Rotonda home is 1300 to 3000 square feet with
three bedrooms and two baths. Many homes have pools
and overlook canals or one of the golf courses. A
variety of builders are active in the community and available for buyers who elect to build a new home
