By water, Port Charlotte is located at the tip of Charlotte
Harbor, offering residents quick boating access to the
harbor and the Gulf of Mexico. By car, US 41 and I-75
pass through Port Charlotte, allowing quick north-south
access to other Florida locations. Port Charlotte offers a
variety of neighborhoods from comfortable single-family
homes, condominiums, and town houses priced under $200,000
to bayfront estates priced over $3,000,000. Buildable
lots are also available. There are nine golf courses in
the immediate Port Charlotte area and seven more within the
borders of Charlotte County. Along the US 41 corridor and at
the Port Charlotte Town Center mall, there are numerous
restaurants, specialty stores, and national retailers.
Port Charlotte residents can enjoy a wide range of city
parks, including the Port Charlotte Beach complex directly
on Charlotte Harbor and Tippecanoe Environmental park for
