Located near the tip of the Cape Haze peninsula, Placida real
estate options include single-family homes, condominiums,
and townhouses. The area was first developed by local
fishermen and fishing remains a popular pastime for many
local residents. From Placida marinas, docks and boat
ramps, local boaters have quick access to the intracoastal
waterway, Charlotte Harbor, and the Gulf of Mexico. Gasparilla Marina in Placida offers boat repair, storage,
rentals and sales for local "motor boaters" as well as for
the large sailing community. Adjacent to the marina in
Placida are
two multi-family developments. The condominium
community of Boca Vista offers two and three-bedroom units
with beautiful views of Charlotte Harbor. Angler's
Retreat has spacious town houses with private docks.
Just north of the Boca Grande bridge, the Placida Harbour
condominiums sit on beautifully landscaped grounds
surrounding a community boat harbor off the intracoastal
waterway. Placida Harbour Club amenities include a
private ferry to club beachfront on Little Gasparilla
Island, three pools, tennis courts, and mainland and island
club houses.
There are several single-family communities in the
Placida area. Homes in the gated community of Placida
Bay face directly onto the intracoastal waterway. Across
highway 775, many of the homes in Placida Pointe face onto Coral
Creek or onto private canals. Placida Pointe residents
also have access to the Placida Harbour Club.
The exclusive Coral Creek Golf Club and private airport
are also located in the Placida area. Coral Creek has
a limited number of home sites available for building.
Local golfers will also find seven other golf courses
located nearby.
The Placida real estate market is developing rapidly.
Several new condominium, villa, and town home communities
are available along Placida
Road (Highway 775). Please contact me to discuss
the latest information on this exciting area.
